Cows. :)
I'm not sure why, but Sydni looks like she's taking a pledge...Funny.
Manhandling the Sponge Bob mascot.
Poffertjes!!!!!!!!!
To say they were a hit with the kids would be a massive understatement.
Millie, strapped in but still willing to smile for Auntie Meg's camera. :)
Kid's cow milking competition!
Cute girls. :)
Mr. Mose with his prize.
Kiddie Rides!
It was hot and we were overheating. Lemonade to the rescue!
Mr. with his huge 1 1/2 lb. turkey leg.
I found these cows comical until I remembered what it was like having an animal at the fair. (My horse, Beau, used to hate it!) Realizing that it was only Wednesday and the cow on the left still had to make it to Saturday night before getting to return home to normal life robbed some of the humor from the situation. The best part was that the cow on the right was not only resting on the cow on the left, but also chewing her cud. :)
Made me laugh out loud...
Ice Cream from The Dairy Wives and Funnel Cakes, there is no better way to end a day at The Fair.
Brian and I had planned to leave Friday evening but the heat had us all in a funk so we decided to stay one more night and leave in the morning. It turned out to be a great decision considering that Tess offered us her fifth wheel to sleep in, complete with a bit of air conditioning. It was a wonderful cool down and a very cozy night.
After breakfast and before leaving I couldn't help but snap a pic of Tessa's front porch because it's so gorgeous right now. Her green thumb has me beat big time. (There's a reason I haven't posted pics of my first meager attempt at growing flowers. I thought everything would just thrive! Not the case. Gma B, Mom, and Tess, your annual thriving flower beds and hanging baskets are deceiving.)
The kids and I needed a picture to document our sleepover.
How cute are these little giggle farts?!
Fun times! I'm glad we were able to make some memories even in the midst of mind-blowing heat (especially hot for the 2 preggers.) :) Loves!
ReplyDeleteGreat pics! It was so hot that day, I wanted to drown myself in that glass of lemonade! Thanks for hauling that massive camera around even in scorching temperatures.
